My grandfather was Scottish...I still don't think I want to try haggis though.

I'm afraid I can't understand how a Tartan Terror could be leary of a little flutterby. I love to see them in the yard and garden doing their pollenating thing!

But I figure if Mike bags a deer this year, I can make venison haggis.

I would think the deer would work quite well if that's what you can find the easiest. Offal from one animal tastes pretty much like another really so if you cant get sheep then vension or pork in sausage casing would be great. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
