Coop is 6x12. Nest boxes and roost are going in today.
Open front faces south.
The roof is white corrugated roofing over plywood. It's up on blocks so the wood doesn't rot with deep litter. Theres 1/4" hardware cloth over vents and 1/2" across the front. Not sure if I should paint the interior walls.

Yard is 20x20 and in progress. I left a few weeds in there to keep chicks away from the plants until they grow large enough to provide shade. I've put in desert trees and plants so far and want to add some eco turf in there to help prevent runoff and keep temps more consistent.

Chickens will have access to the rest of my backyard but this is a safe zone as yard is locked so no grandkids or dogs in there.

Interior work we got done today. The chicks have been half way up the ramp. We are adding a second tree trunk at the door end because I don't want a ramp there.
Haven't decided whether to put food and water on blocks or install a beam to hang them.
Chicks hung out in there while some of the work was being done.

Added some storm panels because I couldn't stand a tarp over the outside.
Using old screen mounts to hold them to the front. One person can easily put them on and take them off.
Will paint them eventually.
