Yeah, sorry about her again!I would love to offer button hatching eggs, but unfortunately, as you know, I lost my hen.
Name: Galaxy and Nova (unfortunately I recently lost Nova)
Age: 2 years
Breed: Button Quail, or Chinese Painted Quail.
Gender: Pair
Other: they were the sweetest parents! I hatched them out myself, and paired them and the rest were re-homed. They were my first birds I ever owned! I hatched them out with my friends, they also were the first things I ever hatched\raised besides my shih-tzu dog Cutie. They were actually the things that started my poultry obsession, and my chickens cane a year later! Though they don't like to be handled, they are the sweetest things to each other! Nova was practically a phyco-broody, and Galaxy fed, watched, and cared for her her whole life! In fact, Galaxy helped her brood and hatch! Nova had a very hard time hatching, for some reason, (probably due to inbreeding from the seller of the eggs) her chicks would fully develope, but never hatch.. she was super dedicated, and heart broken after every failed attempt. Finally after a year and a half of trying, they became happy parents to 6 button chicks!!! Yay! After they were re-homed, she started trying again, but I comfanscated the eggs.... I had a hard enough time getting the 6 babies good homes! Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago, Nova unexpectedly passed.. RIP my beautiful baby!..... Galaxy has been absolutely devestated... I am currently try to find him a mate... Hope you enjoy the pics! The last one is of a pair of their babies... I'll post some better pictures of Galaxy and Nova from my PC. here are my real entry photos: wait... how many birds can I enter? I have cute button chick photos too.
ok, then I'll enter some chicks too... Thanks! Each person gets two entries. To clarify, @ButtonquailGirl14 you could enter Galaxy and Nova as one and then have another entry because we have other entries with more than one bird, the entries will be judged on how the bird is captured in the photo, and what condition the bird is in. It's up to you.
X2!We need all the pictures of cute happy quail we can get! They're just really hard to photograph, to be honest (especially those speedy little chicks). I take like a billion pictures just to get one that's in focus (and where they're not actively pooping).
I'm still not sure what the name for her color is, but I'd be happy to hatch out more like her.
Nice entry @ButtonquailGirl14! Cute quail!Name: Quinn
Age: 2-7 days
Gender: male
color: Lavender
Other: Galaxy and Nova's chick
