Opening and closing mouth

I have a chicken who is 8 weeks old who occasionally will open and close her mouth. It looks like a yawn, but she'll do it four or five times and then stop. Any ideas? A couple of the babies have done it too. Just wondering what it means...?

Also, she keeps shaking her head and flinging something wet on me. Her eyes are clear, nose is clear, no sneezing. She's eating and drinking. Not thin. Poop is perfectly normal. Any light that can be shed on this situation is appreciated.

I think with the babies, they're just yawning or swallowing down that they've preened . However, when I have chickens doing that at 8 weeks they usually turn out to be boys! It's just the way they do it and the way they stand that kinda gives them away. Start looking closely at hackles and saddles! Look also to see if their legs and knees are thicker than the others'.
