Opening mouth...?

I have a 4-week old d'uccle pullet that keeps opening her mouth. Not like panting, more like there is something stuck in her throat. She seems low energy. What could it be? Is there anything I can do?

She could be hot, or thirsty. Sometimes even when they have lots of water chickens will pant to cool themselves down.

She was not panting. Woke up to a dead chicken. I knew something was wrong.

Wow, oh my gosh, I wonder what was wrong??? that's really strange...

Sometimes chicken deaths are just unexplainable. It could have been something she swallowed, or it could have even been genetic. She felt very low energy. She was given to me by a friend, as a pair (male/female) of porcelain d'uccles. So of course, I have the roo left. Isn't that always the way?

I guess it just wasn't meant to be. At least she didn't suffer long.
