Opinion of drawing?

I’m drawing this portrait cause it’s one of my hobbies and i was looking for anyone to critique it. So fire away! The other side will be the reflection in a mirror.

It looks really nice! But don’t be afraid to push your values, embrace some stronger darks for more depth. You’ve done more of it in the hairline than in the face, so the hair looks full and the face comes across a little flat.

I am gonna color the other side tomorrow. I did the outline in pencil this morning and colored this side in about an hour and a half or so. I will definitely push more of the values thank you so much I’m just worried if i make it too dark i can’t go back. But thank you so much everyone for the compliments and i think i might enter this in my schools art contest this year.

Consider the light source. One or two nice dark areas can make a world of difference!

Scott, are you taking an art class at school ? If so I would show the drawing to your teacher and ask his/her opinion. The contrast of the finished/unfinished much like the contrast of hair/face on the finished is very intriguing.
