I got a response to a craigslist request for female pekin ducks and the person has 2 pekins of unknown sex that she will give me. I am concerned she may have 2 males or 1 male/female and they will fight with my current male/female. the reason I want more female pekins is because my current 7 yo pekin duck is getting more lame and if I have to euthanize her I want the remaining pekin drake to have a companion. any opinions on pekin drakes(introduced later in life) getting along? do pekins have a reputation for fighting(mine certainly seems like a whimp compared to the girl)?
