So I’ve been thinking about getting some more king pigeons. I know they are a friendly skittish breed, but do they have health problems. My original female pigeon is a red king, but she isn’t as large as the standard breed and can fly exceptionally well with her small wings, although she prefers running.

I never had any King pigeons, but my understanding, is that most peeps that raise them, intend to eat them. I am pretty sure your intentions are different.
Get a pair and see how you like them. Around my area, it seems that White is the most common/popular King Pigeons that I seen for sale.
I would not be too worried way in advance about their possible health concerns. You are not forking over a suitcase of cash and wanted to make sure your investment will live.
Like with all living things, there is no guarantee.
With people,,,,,,,, only guarantee is dying,,,,,,, and paying taxes. :gig

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, as always,,, :highfive:

I just want to keep them as pets like all my pigeons. The ones that are around for sale are: whites, blue checkered, recessive red and a few other colours. As always I will always go look at the pics and make sure the birds are in good condition and none have pox or any other illness.
I think they make very handsome pets! :D
