Opinions on Formex Snap-Lock Large Coop

Let us know if you get the plastic shed. Make a new thread so we can follow.
I am curious how people do the chicken door.
I am thinking of using a 'dog door" so it will come with a cover and a flap (not sure if chickens will figure that out but read someone's did). I think it would be easy to do and a cleaner look, plus no jagged edges.

Have you skimmed through these articles yet for ideas on a door?

I'm such a happy girl! My 7x7 shed is coming today! The shipping company who handled my order has been fabulous and is getting it delivered after being picked up from the ware house only yesterday. My husband can build the foundation and the shed over the long weekend and my stinky friends can move in (and out of the garage!). I'll miss them being in the garage and following me around while I water plants, etc, but they'll love their new digs, I'm sure. Now we just need to research some nesting boxes, but we've got lots of time for that. Happy Friday everyone! <3

Congrats!!

Ok, so in thinking about a new home for the girls, how much of a problem is "too big" for winters in WI? I've seen some people on BYC write that too much space means the girls won't be able to keep themselves warm. Is this true? I ask because I'm wondering about letting the girls use our outbuilding. I'd have to convince hubby first though...

This is the issue I have with my larger Snaplock. I am in WY and the 6 birds do not even take up 3/4 of one roosting bar nevermind the 3 bars in there. Additionally they all fit in one of the four nest boxes. I was leery about going for the smaller one since we do have such cold weather and the chance of snow- them not wanting to leave the coop and go into the run even though it is covered 2/3 of the way. I worry they will be too cold in sub zero temps.
