Opinions on my last hen

Transparency is essential.

And Yes, it's possible to be carriers of viruses and not appear to be sick until something stresses their immune systems then the virus rears up, although some may be resistant.

Your avatar shows Massachusetts as your location
Massachusetts on Craigslist is broken down into metro/ general areas but just a quick search (chickens) of the Wooster/central areas showed several ads.
I PERSON is offering 2 free 3 yr olds that are still laying.
Maybe it would do your heart good to bring in a pair of friends for her after all.

Do you think this would be the original issue if introducing one hen though...the one hen being her? Or is it different if it's on her turf?

it is true you cant put only one hen in a flock and chickens like to be in flocks maybe you could try to find some one that is going to be putting more chickens in there flock and they can take that hen with the others good luck with your hen
I have introduced one hen into a flock of four before. It all depends on the personalities of the flock.

Thank you. I'm very attached to her and I think at this point I will keep her and maybe get a few more in the spring. Just giving her as much attention as possible. ♥️
