I wouldn't let this bad experience stop you from selling eggs on ebay if I were you.

What were your shipping terms as stated in the auction? I have never expected anything to get shipped the very day I pay for something. And usually sellers list in their terms when things would ship. You stated in your OP that "the other day I did a one day auction for eggs", but what was that day? Because if it was Thursday, I don't think it's unreasonable to ship something out on Monday or Tuesday, that's within three business days.

I would just state "will ship within three (or five) business days" in your future auctions, so they can't complain. Whether or not they should be given a refund depends on your shipping terms, which should be clearly stated.

The auction ended the 4th, Tuesday. I put in my auctions "If all of a sudden they were to stop laying, I will send you the eggs as soon as they are available. I ship Eggs on Mondays,Tuesdays, of each Week. In Instances when I need more eggs, Wednesday at the latest."

Oh well, I can see why the buyer was frustrated because she thought the eggs would be sent out asap. That was my intentions also. But being that 'm not only a seller of eggs, I buy them also I guess I understand that it's not like a pair of jeans you have on hand. Eggs are completely different. I have waited upto 3 weeks for eggs to arrive that I paid for. I guess I try to be understanding. It's just the way this buyer went about everything, she was not friendly at all & impatient. Her $ is refunded. I just hope I don't get a neg feedback.

Awhile back I bought Albino Chukar eggs from an ebay member. It was 20 eggs fr $65. They ended up being regular chukars & I felt ripped off. I opened a case against him. Paypal contacted me & reimbursed my $. Well, he ended up winning one of my auctions. I refused to sell to him because I knew he was playing game. Ebay told me to sell, I refused. So, I got a negative feedback which dropped my 100% score down. It's frustrating because sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers. I feel ebay does not look out for it's sellers & we're the ones making them money! As it is we're lucky to come out alittle ahead after all of the fees. I know if sounds bad but I can't wait until ebay has major competition!

Sorry, I'm probably alittle grumpy. I got new renters, 2 bounced checks last month! They finally paid rent 7 days late this month & not the full amount or even close. I'm soooo grumpy.... I'm tired, pregnant & grumpy... lol

I know it is after the fact now but.. You can refuse to sell to someone on ebay. Once you filed the claim and won. you could have blocked the person from bidding on your items. I don't know where it is on their forum but you can block a user from bidding. Just for further reference
