No offense taken- you can tell by their development and color. Here's a pic of my batch shortly after I rescued them from their dead mother.

Here are a couple of them several weeks older and now eating solid food.

I agree, call a wildlife re-habber! Those babies are cute as buttons!

They are cute as buttons, but grow up to be chicken killers. I second animal control or some sort of game/wildlife type warden. I have no idea what they have down there. I hope momma comes back, if only for the fact that if she is dead and you don't find her quickly, you will find her when she starts to smell.

Thank you all for the replies and the ideas. My girlfriend ended up contacting a rehab/release program. They said that they would be hear in the morning to check it out but when I went down a few hr. ago they are gone. It looks like the mom is still alive and got them out. I will be double sure to get my electric fence installed properly and sure up my coop by the time my babies show up.
