Orange yolk?/ homemade feed

Grade AAA. Our first eggs ever from blue green egg (Americuna) were best I ever had. Enjoy.

Fred's Hens :

Orange yolks can also be achieved through feeding certain foods that "dye" the yolk.

But yes, the orange yolk is a trademark of a happy, well fed hen.

Huh, what foods dye the yolk? Could be fun to try.

These were the eggs that convinced me to get chickens. The one on the right was a store egg and the one on the left was an egg I got from a neighbor who later sold her chickens. I took one look at the two of them on the skillet and decided right then and there that I was going to have my own chickens.

Thanks!!! My chickens free range and eat layena. But most the stuff they eat it outside! has anyone just fed there chickens all plants and stuff thats outside? Is that healthy?
