I'm starting to think I'm jinxing your eggs. I'll go for #18 this time. Thanks!I removed egg #2 tonight it wasn’t developing. I cracked it open and didn’t see any evidence that it ever started to develop. It just looked like a regular egg inside. I’m not sure what I thought I was looking at when I candled it last week.
It was a dark shell and hard to see anything I guess I just didn’t want to give up on ma Marans I’m trying to build up the flock.
@Nym your welcome to choose another egg if you would like.
She was laying late in the day at the time I was collecting eggs. Since I work the night shift some of her eggs didn’t get collected until I got home from work overnight lowes were in the high 20s-lower 30s. Their fate may have been sealed before I ever set them. I almost didn’t set those eggs but after reading about so many people successfully hatching refrigerated eggs I decided to chance it.I'm starting to think I'm jinxing your eggs. I'll go for #18 this time. Thanks!![]()
Coq au Vin looked a lot better last night. I could see 2 real dark spots that I assume were head and foot with a faint body wrapped around the pointy end of the egg. And really strong veins throughout.Coq au Vin you better be getting those baby chick headstands in! Grow, grow, grow!
