Oregon Fall Chicken Swap!! SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10!!

So, just out of curiosity, has ANYONE besides OregonJen had anyone show interest in their birds??? Last time most of the list had "sold" next to what everyone had long before the swap, this time, I don't see any of that at all...what up??

I think we should post this swap in the Craigslist in Albany and other surrounding areas. That way we can always sell what we don't swap, otherwise I can hardly afford the gas, LOL! If everyone is okay with that and it doesn't break any rules, I will be happy to list it. Jen
Also, can the people who are planning on going leave a post.
As of right now, I am, and I am planning on bringing a lot of birds. I will even trade for produce, nuts, or??? Oh ya, money is always good!
We also need people willing to bring hens or pullets, I plan on bringing as many I can can spare.
P.S.- I am looking for quail, Ancona Ducks, SQ Bantam Cochins, pheasants,
peafowl, and partridge or anything fancy.
I am not planning on bringing my geese unless I have requests, they take up a lot of space.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Jen

brand new to the forum!
I'm planning to come to the chicken swap in Albany, looking for young hens to purchase to add to my flock.
Is anyone coming with Marans? They are intriguing and I'd love to take a couple home.
Anyone looking for a new home for a proven broody hen? I'd like to get into a cycle of raising my own chickens, but none of mine seem interested in setting.
Thanks!

I am planning on coming. I am bringing 1 SQ bantam black ameracauna pullet, 1 Welsummer pullet, and 1 Welsummer/Salmon Faverolle cross cockerel. And if someone wants him (I will need to know ahead of time) I also have 1 Barred Plymouth Rock cockerel (He's old enough to be a daddy, but not a year yet).

The Craigslist thing sounds good to me...

Is this a for sure thing? If so, I am definitely in! I live in Philomath and I just posted my cochin and white silkie cockerels on craigslist because I need to rehome them. I'm pretty picky about who gets them though...is that ok for something like this? I'm willing to trade them or if the home is right (not going on your dinner table), give them for free. I'm not really sure how these things work but I'm in to try it!

I am also interested in any of the pullets being brought (not really looking for SQ birds):

- Cream Brabanter would be sweet!
- any white egg laying breed (husband thinks we need white eggs!)
- Silkies (other than red)
- Frizzles (other than red)
- Bantam cochins
also looking for a Polish and/or more Brahmas and anything else unique that someone may have and wants to bring

I'm always looking to add to my flock.

I will bring the Black and Gold penciled Cochin cockerel and my White Silkie cockerel, both 6 months old.

I'm going to be there. I thought about trying to shed one of my roosters on you, but it would probably be more trouble than it's worth.

But if anyone is curious I have 3 fine roosters.

Puff Daddy is a Silkie cross who is probably the alpha and he has my 2 dogs terrorized, but has never behaved aggressively toward a person.

Georgie is a SLW, big and plays the role of the cop, breaking up any quarrels in the flock.

Rusty is my gorgeous EE roo who is most in tune with the females egg-laying needs, finding them good nests, guarding the door of the coop when one is laying.

I will bring some eggs if anyone feels like trying to hatch them.

I live about 15 minutes from Timber Linn Park.
