I'm so excited about this swap!
I encourage you to do the raffle tickets for a dollar, it's not a lot of money, and when they aren't a lot of money you can often get more interest in them. Putting tickets in cans for a chance to win each item is a great idea - we've done that before at some major fundraisers with lots of success. Can you say at this point which businesses are wanting to be there? I'd like to make some calls, but I don't want to duplicate.
I would be happy to contribute a gift basket for the raffle.
A donation bucket would be most appropriate as well - and I understand you wanting to have someone else deal with the money "receiving" that isn't doing the money "paying". Again, you'll get better results that way.
All of my kids show chickens in a 4H group here (we actually meet at the fairgrounds each month), so I'm thinking of asking if the group would be willing to do something for this swap. Not sure what yet, or if they even can, but it would be nice to have them get involved. I'll drag my kids for sure no matter what our 4H group leader says
Would you be opposed to having information about 4H available at the swap? I might get a better response for volunteer help that way (I'm thinking clean up crew since this group already knows how to set up and clean up that particular building!)
