Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 22 - Corvallis @ the Fairgrounds!!!

Just another update...trying to keep on top of things! Don't be surprised if this is updated everyday this week.

Set-up information: *Please check in at the Greeter/Raffle table BEFORE setting up your area!*

Set-up can begin anytime after 8:30 on Saturday morning. I'm recommending that everyone setting up a table try to be there no later than 10am. It would be nice to have everything ready to go before 11am so we are not setting up while people are showing up to shop! We will have tables reserved near outlets for everyone bringing chicks and several people have volunteered to show up early to help out. Nutcakes will be there early selling coffee, donuts and other goodies way before the doors open to the public - we will get them fresh out of the bakery!

Clean-up: Not sure on the clean up crew yet (4Hers?) but we will need to completely clean up the building - trash, sweeping, outside if need be before we can leave for the evening. I know a lot of people will be driving back north and down south, but it would be appreciated if everyone can stay as long as possible to help.

Tables: Please bring your own tables (8-10' max please) but I think we will have enough chairs. The rental provides 10 tables that we are using for the welcome table, the raffle items and the businesses will each get one. If we have some leftover, they will be available but I cannot reserve any at this time for individuals. There are a couple people bringing extra tables as well but please do not count on getting one. If you do not need a table for your items, we will have 75 chairs available with the rental of the building, but feel free to bring your own if you'd rather. Both sets of large doors are reserved for people setting up larger items (tractors, coops, etc) and all areas by outlets will be reserved for people bringing chicks.

Reminder, it is time to start confirming your raffle items with Cloverleaf. If you are choosing to just donate money, that is fine too. Donating will be done before the swap begins. You will receive a sticker on your name tag indicating that you have already donated so you won't be bothered again that day. Those without a sticker should expect to be pestered through the swap!

Small hutch plus 1 gal waterer and 3lb feeder from Del's

I have quite a few assorted crosses for sale. All of them were hatched this spring and are Silkie, d'Uccle, Bantam Americana, Bantam Araucana, or Easter Egger crosses. All are very cute and would make great additions to any flock. Most of them are solid blue in color.

I have 2 Marans roosters that I need to sell. One is a Black with feathered legs and one is, I believe, Birchen: $10 each OBO

Chinchillas: I have several available in various colors, please Email if you are interested, If you have ever considered a chinchilla now is the time!

Please Email me at [email protected] with any questions. PMs are not great for me since I can reply to email from my phone. I am extremely interested in moving these birds out so all reasonable offers will be considered. I'm back in school full time and we need to downsize in

Only change to this is I added another black bantam Am pullet.....

Updated list:

Bringing -
- 3 black/lavender split bantam Ameraucana pullets near POL, may be laying by swap time. $15/each
-2 BQ bantam salmon Faverolle cockerels $5 each
-1 partridge Chantecler pullet, near POL $20
- 2 light brown leghorn x hens. 1 year old. They came from a hatchery and might be Welsummer/Leghorn crosses. They came out of the Welsummer bin, and lay a light brown egg, but they are VERY Leghorn-esque in appearance, and have white earlobes. $15 each
-1 clean faced black bantam Ameraucana cockerel. Will make pretty EE babies, and he is big for a bantam, so he could cover LF hens no problem. FREE!!

-I should also have hatching eggs available from the following:
-bantam salmon / blue salmon Faverolles $30/dozen
-bantam Ameraucanas, this will be a mixed bag of colors. In this pen right now there are 3 black/lav split pullets, 3 blue pullets, 2 black cockerels, and 1 splash cockerel. SO, chicks will be b/b/s, but some of them could be carrying lavender $25/dozen
-Seramas - I have 2 breeding pens set up, one is a tri color male with a mottled female, the other is a tri color pair with a black tailed buff frizzled female $25/half dozen

Most of these eggs are also available now if anyone is interested in hatching some before the swap. BUT I am NOT reserving hatching eggs for the swap itself, the eggs will be first come, first served only.

Wanting
-bantam Faverolle sized chicken diaper (no liner) from Celiandy
-chocolate chip and pumpkin marble cheesecakes from Zoo
- pair or trio of BQ or SQ blue bantam Sumatras (would also take a blue roo with black hens/pullets)
-2-3 b/b/s Orp pullets or hens less than a year and a half old, prefer English, but super large and fluffy American Orps are ok too
-2 Shetland sheep ewe lambs
- 2 honey bears from Zanna

Also...to add to the raffle items: Sampler gift box from Pacific Hazlenut Candy Company.

TPS (true potato seeds): you never know what you are going to get!
Herbs: Fennel, -Feverfew, Parsley, Yarrow, Chives, Echinacea, Dwarf Curry
Shasta Daisy
Tomato Seeds:

-green zebra (small, green with yellow stripes-makes great pizza sauce!)

Wanting
-More feathers! (especially from birds I don't have)
-a decent incubator (not that I expect anyone to part with one!)
-Frizzled pullet/hen (I don't want a white one or a bantam, but anything else goes)
-2 sampler platter cheesecakes from Zoomummzy
-MORE tomato seeds. Especially from black ones.

Too bad some of you weren't at Stevenson,... I had a splash pair of silkies that were pretty good for sale and a young (pretty sure pullet) black for sale with potential as well as an Embden goose (female). The exhibition Embdens are HUGE! The trio I showed was late May hatch, as was one of the Toulouse.

Got it! I need to send you a PM too...I'll do it tomorrow. I'm sure you are exhausted!! Was great to see you

IF someone wanted them, I could also bring a pair or trio of bantam salmon / blue salmon Faverolles. The roo is a blue salmon, and I'd have to double check on what I have, but I think there's one salmon hen and one blue salmon hen. These are all a year old. Offspring from this group have been shown, the pullet took BB and the cockerel took RB this weekend at Stevenson...sure, they had no competition, but they weren't DQ'd either!

No, really, I hatched some bantams from some others, and ended up only keeping the offspring from my own flock, with the exception of one pullet from another source. These are some really nice babies I've been getting from these guys...

$50 for the trio.

I will only bring them if they are spoken for in advance.
