LOL the last time I went camping was with my husband (boyfriend at the time) and his family at a lake in CA - and not in a campground, but on the bank of the lake! I took my bag of makeup, a blow dryer and a curling iron. You can imagine the amusement I provided them that weekend

Ok - camping stories....when DH and I were still dating (so, like 15-16 years ago) we went camping with my whole family up on Hood. When we got up there, there was still snow on the ground, so it was COLD. My sister fell (oh yes, head-first) into the lake when she was cleaning some fish we caught, AND it was raining, so to help her warm up and not get her dry clothes wet, we turned a garbage bag into a poncho - she got too close to the fire while trying to warm up, and shrink-wrapped herself! We still give her crap about that to this very day.
