Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 22 - Corvallis @ the Fairgrounds!!!

Quote:
I have a TON of polish right now. I hatched several batches this year. The oldest will be just under 5 months by the swap and the youngest around 12 weeks at the swap. I will mostly be looking to rehome roos, but I am sure I can manage a couple of pullets for you. I should be fairly clear on their genders by then. I have a few differnt colors at the moment....gold laced, buff laced, crele project, and an assortment of crosses. I can get some pictures of them if you like. Not totally sure which are the pullets at the moment, but should be by October. I can say that they are all very sweet. I handle them every day and they are very socialable silly little things.

Yeah!! I would love 2 pullets! Not sure on a roo. Hef has kind of claimed the area and I don't know what he would do if I tried to introduce competition!

I'm sure I could hook you up with 2 pullets. I'm glad Hef is enjoying his new home so much.

So long as he still respects you....

Sadly, we are thinking we need to rehome Willy

The whole d'uccle project did not work out at all but that was ok, it was just a long shot. The part we are not able to deal with is how loud he is. He is 4xs as loud as all my Serama roosters put together - seriously! My family is about ready to kill me. I can't put him outside either because he is so loud. He is louder than my standard size rooster that has to stay in the garage permanently because he is too loud. My neighbor has already called the cops on us because he can hear him. Granted, my neighbor is a nut case but I still can't have the cops coming out here all the time, so we are kind of at our wits end. I don't want to let him go because I love the little guy - and won't unless I know he is going to a good home - but I don't really have any other options right now.

So, reluctantly, I am adding Willie to my bringing list for the swap unless I can come up with another solution in the mean time

I am also looking for someone who would like a Buff Orp Roo..he is a bit loud..I think practicing his call, but I have handled him since a bitty chick and he doesn't mind..likes his chest scratched..
I hate to part with him, but he is getting really loud..

Thanks guys

It is really killing me to have to even be thinking of letting him go because that is not something I take lightly at all! I am really hoping to find him a great home with someone who is willing to work with his shyness (with strong willed ladies lol) and love him like we do. He is a beauty, a sweetie and yes, he is from Cloverleaf originally via Dancing Hen so you do know what you are getting

He thinks he's a Serama, which isn't a bad thing

but if only he had a Serama crow!
