Anyone still have any Ameraucana/EE pullets or hens available? I ended up having to cull most of that coop due to a Coryza outbreak earlier in the summer and I'm trying to build it back up now.

The little guy is still hanging on! It has even (kind of, sort of) moved just a little. It is very strange looking...
....! Looks like an alien trying to hatch! I'm still pulling for him to make the decision he wants to 'hatch'!
I'm going to try and take a short little 'cat nap' now. I have a feeling it is going to be a very long......
night!
And I probably should catch a few zz's here and there when I can get them!

I have had experience with Royal Palm Turkey hatchlings. The moisture is definitely the biggest thing that needs to be there for this one to pull through. They seem to take forever to break through and snap out of it. They look like little "Big Birds". Huge feet and long neck and a big beak. Good luck with your little one : )

Breathing good! Egg/yolk sak is totally absorbed. (membrane is still 'hanging on', but I don't want to mess with it just yet.) My only concern is that it is very quiet.
Maybe it is because I'm used to chickens and the cheep-cheep that they do (even before they are completely out) This guy moves it's little beak, but no noise comes out. Is that normal? I have this pic. Not real good, (took through window of incubator) and it's not totally dried out yet. And the thing looks huge! Especially after hatching out the seramas!

I'm so glad the little guy made it out!
I have had a few chicks hatch that were just exhausted from their ordeal, and they were pretty still and quiet for up to a whole 24 hours. Just leave it in the incubator until it is totally dry and hope for the best. I'll send it all my positive thoughts.

Hello Ladies,
Thanks for your answers, advice, and sympathy. I'm on some heavy Rx cough syrup so I apOlogize in advance ifthis post sounds ditzy or scatterbrained. To the woman who just hatched her little guy after her dog accidentally knocked the incubator over - I feel for you. I don't know which is worse...having had no chick yet to bOnd with but doing tons of legwork or b) raising them from freshly hatched to nearly 6 months and egg laying only to have your dog kill them. Even though I have two little kids, my dog is mythird child so it is hard to be mad at her. She's definitely on my S list and she knows it.
To the woman who answered my question about payment - thanks. And no, nobody had told me that critical piece. Is it cash only?
It sounds as if you guys have already worked out a lot of trades and reservations here on this board. Is this a big event? Will there be much more to choose from. To the woman who offered me clean cheeked ameracaunas I would love them. Thank you! I forgot, are they definitely hens?
It's so quiet out there it's disquieting. I had gotten used to their little noises and loud touch down egg dances that I just can't wait for the noise of their mayhem again. Talk about your empty nest syndrom!

I'd Be happy to prearrange. I can't wait! I wish it would hurry up and get here. I'm tapping my toes and sighing until then. Having had 7 parakeets until my first child turned one, I love them as pets so the seramas attract me but their caretaking is more than I can handle at the moment.
I look forward to meeting you and to see what all the fuss is about over those cheesecakes (that was my wedding cake so I'm a definite fan).
