Oregon folks (Washington too) - Chicken Swap in Salem on June 13!

Help me if I missed something....the meeting place is set........the time is set.......but is there a SPECIFIC meeting place at this mall?
I can see it now, there are a bunch of people with chickens driving around the parking lot ....looking for other people with chickens in their ride!

I'm south....there are some nice parks though, and we probably ought to be close to I-5 for convenience.
 
If I remember correctly, it isn't that large of a shopping center. There is a grocery store, a Burger King (I think) a Shari's Restaurant, an old Shopko and that's about it.

What if we meet in the parking lot kind of between the Burger King & the Shari's Restaurant? It's out from the larger stores and it shouldn't be too hard to find the people with chickens.

There's a huge empty lot just off the freeway, there's harbor freight's lot near Keizer...but if we're going to meet and hang out for a bit, wouldn't we want someplace a bit nicer than a lot?
 
I'm open to suggestions for a nicer place - I have this mental picture of us strolling into the Hilton with a bunch of chickens...... Hello, room service? Can I get an order of layer crumbles with a side of cracked corn?

I just used mapquest and there are 2 parks just a few blocks off the Market st exit - Livingston Park a few blocks N on the frontage rd. and Hoover Park a couple blocks west and south of that same exit - I don't know either of those parks as far as suitability, anyone know them? There is also Geer community park farther south between Center and State sts just west of the 5 - I don't know which exit would be closest for that one but it looks pretty large on the map, and there is Cascades Gateway Park just west of I 5 off 22 again - I don't know anything about the park but it looks big...here is the URL for the mapquest page if anyone wants to check them out, I think a park would be nicer than a parking lot!!!
 
me again - if you zoom in you can use the up down thingie to scan right up and down I 5 to find all the parks (gotta get in closer to see them)
