Thinking seriously about coming on Saturday...

We have 5 Speckled Sussex hens - all a year old. One just coming through moult after hatching chicks in March.

Trying to decide if I'll keep my Ameracauna girls or not - they lay so inconsistently... I've got one Black who lays tan colored eggs, three Golden green egg layers.

Anyone interested?

I am interested in adding more consistent egg layers in exchange for these girls...

I am looking for adult hens, not sure how many, but at least a few. My poor girls are losing feathers due to an overly amourous roo. LOL. 1/3 ratio is not cutting it.

I am not picky about breed, but do want them to lay.

Hi I have not been to a chicken swap before but plan on coming and bringing birds and hatching eggs. Does anyone know if there is power at the Timber Linn Park to plug in a light for a brooder? I was going to bring some little chicks if I can keep them warm.

I don't know about the power for sure, but my guess is no. We set up in the parking lot and I didn't see anything there last year. What age are the chicks and what kinds? I am helping with the want/have list so if you can give us an idea what you are bringing and/or want, that would be great!
