Gnarley, don't think I can swing that much and will be having some Narangansetts hatching a little after that time frame (oh the bronze breasted as well since the hens are now sitting). I wonder if I should put some eggs under those turkey hens? What a risk

Not sure yet if I will be going to the swap, but might make it down if there is enough interest in acquiring birds. I have Silkies coming out my ears (thanks Cloverleaf for the Dickey) - lots of extra cockerels, some of them are really nice boys, but they've got to go before they ALL lose their feathers LOL. I also need to sell some of the chicks I've hatched this year - they range in age from 1 week to 6 weeks right now. I can also bring birds to the Stevenson show on Sunday (I'll have a car full on Saturday) so if anyone is interested, please let me know as I don't like to haul birds around unless arrangements are made in advance. If there is anyone on here who is interested in buying extra silkie cockerels periodically (for soup or whatever), OR if you know anyone like that, I'm looking to make a connection so I'm not trying to rehome so many boys all the time. I have so much money into them, I really don't want to just give them away, so would be looking for about $2 each. These are boys with DQs or questionable breeding quality. I'd MUCH prefer to give them to good homes, but I just can't afford to keep feeding them and need the room. I'm a little afraid to use Craigslist for this as there seems to be a lot of flakes lurking on there:) Please pm or email me if anyone is interested.

Kelar, Silkiechicken is your connection for your extra silkie roos. She does use them for soup and other things. In fact, she has them on her want list for the swap! You might want to shoot her a PM. Regarding the others, if you want to compile a have list and any photos, that always helps. Also, this event is going to be huge with lots of drop ins from the ads and word of mouth so I think we are all going to do really well in rehoming our chickens

Hope you can make it!

Gnarley, you are funny!!

My turkey hens wait until they have a nestful of eggs before they start brooding so I will sneak in a couple of Marans eggs just to see what happens. Can't hurt
