Silkie, just used your vanilla in yes, a cheesecake lol....wonderful! Zanna, getting ready to have some honey on one piece of toast, lime marmalade on the other....can't wait to shower with my soap and body wash (yes I'm going to use both at once lol)....have all my plants outside getting some water and I've completely stuffed myself on cupcakes and truffles....sigh
Oh and the chickens love the treat mix! What an amazing Swap? Have I said that already?
so, I have followed this thread from the beginning to the end. I bought Lensters Delawares and a few EE's, way back when. I could not make it to the swap-- sounds like alot of fun and I hope to make it in the fall. Just wanted to say I really have enjoyed your posts.
Zoomummzy just wanted to let you know that Piper and her new friend Amelia are settling in nicely. They started playing when I put them in their new home. Piper has decided that the minute I open the door to the cage it means that she gets to fly to my shoulder. They both have figured out the nipple waterer pretty well. Still have a bowl in there just in case. Snuggled them bunches and bunches last night and this morning. My roomate thinks that they are adorable as well. So glad that I finally have them, and super sad I have to leave them to go to wok.
Great meeting you yesterday ( and everyone else) Will keep you updated and already have some cute pictures that I will post.
Wonderfully fun for the short time I was there. So nice to see everyone and put nams to faces. I bought a trio of ducklings from Michael. Michael could you please email me? I have a question. The Honey is fabulous. Can't say enough... Thank you very much for all the hardwork.
After having succumbed to purchasing some lemon blue giant/large fowl Cochin (for future broodiness hopefully), I could not refrain from buying some gorgeous blue Marans chicks from AyeUp and they've settled in beautifully. They are soooo bright eyed and healthy! Its fun to watch them with the lemon blues!
I got two absolutely adorable midget white poults from Gnarley and they are really friendly; also extremely alert!
Bought a couple of blue and splash babies from Daze? (geesh, I can't remember, money was liquid in my hands yesterday ROFL)
Brought home three roosters (splash?, birchen?) and a lovely blue Marans hen. Received a lot of great input on the roos from Geebs, thank you!
A huge shopping bag full of K7's MARVELOUS goat's milk soap.....I just love this stuff!! The bag smells so good, all the scents, watermelon YUM!! Lemongrass DROOL!! Rose AHHHH!! and many more! Olfatory orgie!
Sinfully delish cheesecakes from Zoo of course and then AyeUp's gourmet cupcakes, citrus frosting and raspberry filling in a moist golden cake....OH DOUBLE YUM!! Oh, and marmalade too!
Zanna's honey is to die for!! I've not tasted such delicious honey, creamed or regular.....WOW!
My husband took a few pics at the swap. I'm sorry I don't remember which birds belong to who(m?) But I do know that the last 2 pics are of Cloverleaf's birds.
