How much feathering do they have coming in on their wings? If there's a bit - what color is it? If I saw pics, I could probably tell you what sex they are...

I had a batch of laced cochins and got 6 roos out of 9! But I can't complain because I got 9 pullets of 12 in another hatch.

Jeanine, here's the pics...

At least I think it's these two, they're the only ones with more than three toes...and the darker one's legs are thicker/bigger too.

That's the super cool thing about the salmons...you can sex them by color REALLY early, as young as a couple of weeks...

Here's daddy...

Any chance of buying rather than swapping??

I would love to swap, but I don't have a roo, and therefore any chicks would have been purchased somewhere else... but if there were folks coming who would sell a couple to me (I wouldn't have room for more than a couple, sigh...) I would love to come and meet othe forum members, and learn things!

Oh definitely! Honestly, most people do buy and sell. We'd love to have you! If you have a want list, just post it and it can be added to the list....and don't worry if you want to add or change as time goes on, it will get updated right up until the last minute

Seriously, I'll think about it and if I can make a choice, I'll post something... otherwise, I'll just come and drool, and impulse-buy!

Oh, don't worry...we're ALL for impulse buying!! Haa haa...even those of us who "plan" ahead end up impulse buying usually....don't we Laura??

I see some swappers are bringing seeds and food -- this sounds like a great swap! I will have saved heirloom seeds that I could swap or share, possibly seedlings by then, and plenty of homemade jam (my favorite is cinnamon boysenberry)... let me compile a list and post it... and I see the lists that others mention having... so I'll try to look at them when I compile a want list. I'm so excited!!
