Uh huh, I kept looking and well.....you know.

Lol it's a good thing you got yours tallyho when you did...they are going quickly. I sold 4 yesterday to someone local and have more probably going this weekend...now is the time to reserve your Castle Chick

Though I do have 3 new babies and 2 more on the way this weekend. Fiona hatched out identical twins (no idea what they are yet) and my new little Turken chick....

I'm too afraid to even look at a sweet little Serama in person, I'd likely come home with several. Those pictures are bad enough. I love this crazy fun site.

I am so looking forward to this Swap. I feel like I am getting to know everyone through your posts.

I am also really looking forward to seeing how small a Serama actually is in person. Will anyone be bringing pullets or roos or just chicks?

My DH is really patient with my chicken addiction, but I think that he would probably draw the line at permanent house chickens in our small house.

As it is with brooding the newly hatched ones even I am ready for them to go out in the shop at about day 10-14.

Also just a side note. I just listed Light Sussex chicks on CL with more hatching.

If I have any later I will probably bring some LS chicks, as well as silkie chicks/teenagers to the Swap.

I will have Serama roos, the youngest will be 2 months old then - the oldest 4 months. I do have a couple pullets I might be willing to part with, but I think at this point I will only do so if I have a confirmed sale on a pair. I really do not want to end up with all these roos and no mates for them. They need mates because you can't keep two Seramas roosters together.

You can keep them outside, you just need to provide either a heat lamp in the coop when the temps get 40 and below, or you can bring them inside for the winter like a shop or garage with a heat source. I have two hens outside during the warmer weather and then they stay in the garage all winter.
