Oregon Spring Poultry Swap May 5, 2012 in Canby!!!

Hey Peeples! I am new to BYC and am planning on attending the Spring Swap. I am not completley certain whom I should speak to about RSVPing, or if I even have to? I would like to bring some peeps and things, though I am in the process of building my flock and hatching/raising peeps and am not sure what I am going to want to pass along. I can also bring some various veggie starts and fresh produce, depending on how the garden is growing! Should I make a list of "possible" things being brought? Any tips or pointers would be helpful, I am pretty green to all of this! I know I will need to bring my own table/chairs and have secure enclosures (with water provided) for all my birds. I will try and secure a tent or canopy before then, but not sure if I can..... Maybe someone has a large one they wouldn't mind sharing? Looking forward to this!

Yep, just put a list of "possible" wants / haves on here and next time I update I'll add you to the master list. :)

Skyeshazade, the way I understand it is you just show up and it is first come first served on the spots. There will be someone there directing venders where to set up so that rows will be orderly. There is some sort of size for booths. I know it is at least 10x10 because an EZUp will fit into a space.

Yep, come early to get your spot, or well have to just stick you where there's room... ;)

Okay I have not updated my have/want list in awhile....and I have already rehomed a lot of birds/roosters that were available.

So....new list....

Bringing:
Hatching eggs (as long as the girls agree to lay that week) BBS, Lavender and Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons, Porcelain/mille fleur d'uccle, assorted polish from my projects (gold-red laced/crele/tolbunt)
Lemon cuckoo orpington cockerels.....should have several ages from our various spring hatches available by swap day
Assorted juvenile polish....ranging in age from 2 months to tiny chicks (gold-red laced/crele/tolbunt)
Juvenile Blue and Black Orpingtons that will be about 2 months old on swap day
Possibly a few hens from our layers to trim down the flock.....

Want:
Muscovy ducks/ducklings
Standard sized self black, white crested black, and cuckoo polish eggs, chicks, or hens
Standard size mottled houdan eggs, chicks or hens

You can find tons of pictures of my birds, and my polish preojects, on my facebook page here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dancing-Hen-Farm/156195471134806?sk=wall&filter=2
I will make an album specifically for birds I will be bringing to the swap when the day gets a little closer.

Thanks for the info!

I will be for sure bringing - Old English Bantam hen (1 1/2 yo) , various veggies and seedlings ( all heirloom varieties), Blue Plymouth Rock Bantam pullet & Black Plymouth Rock Bantam cockrel (these two are available as a pair only).

I will possibly be bringing pullets from Danish Leghorn, RIR, Black Australorp, Welsummers - not sure how many of each I will bring, depends on how attached I get to them between now and then! Might also have some BBS Americana cockrels depending on how this hatch comes out.

I would like to find a Black Copper or Wheaten Maran Roo, and some very pretty Orpingtons, Marans, and Americunas.

Are the bantam Plymouth Rock pair hatchery or breeder?

Did some one say Blue and Black Bantam Plymouth Rocks? I've been looking for more breeding stock for a while now. If this pair isn't available anymore, does anyone know of a breeder?
