Hi neighbor!I also live in the Scappoose area, not in town though.
So they have a shelter, the small coop, they can use, correct? Is it big enough for them to be in for stretches of rain without getting tired of each other? How close to done is the big coop?So I need some info/advice from local peeps. My chicks are ready to go out but...rain. Would you put you 5 week olds out when it's not actually pouring rain? I have a run i can cover, a small outside coop and our big coop is nearly ready. They are pretty much fully feathered and are living inside in a dog pen.

Are you part of the local farm fb groups for columbia county? I've had great luck posting my extra birds there....usually gone in less than 24 hours (little longer for males)Hi, Oregonians! I am looking to rehome my 3 Lakenvelders. PM me if interested!
Also...just saw your question about the fence (oops), I dont know much about that in this area, but I can ask my husband and father-in-law, they know pretty much all the contractors, builders, etc type folks through their work....particular type of fence you want?Sorry for the delay in my reply. They wet through the rain and cold just fine. It's been a little harder on me! I got another, larger coop for them and they are doing well. I come by with their treats and they love them. We are aiming for July to complete both barn coops. One coop is usable in a pinch.
I'm wondering if you know anyone in the area that could do a fence for us?
