Oregon

I think I've decided I want Dutch Bantam chicks in the near future. Anyone know of someone near the Albany to Eugene area with this breed?

What I'm looking for is better feed to egg cost ratio, hence the bantam breeds. I would also like a bantam breed that doesn't tend to brood. Is that conceivable? Any suggestions?

My Husband really enjoyed the coloring and antics of the last Dutch cockerell we had. We named him FLASH, because he was all 'attitude' and a serious show-off!

RIR?

My poor neighbors already. They just moved in next door. Our houses are are very close (30 feet apart) but we have tons of land/acreage on the other sides of us. My Birds are very close to the house. They nicely stated (didn't complain) my Roos are waking them up in the morning as is. I feel so bad. LOL If I didn't like em I'd say heck ya! Bring me all your roo's!

I love seeing all the oregon folk.

I was just talking with my neighbor, and there are 5 or 6 houses that have chickens within a block of me...and that's just the ones we know of. I'm in N. Corvallis, in a residential area. I just love that there are chickens everywhere around me.

I promise.

I have FIVE roos that are 8 weeks old and very healthy. I'm bringing them right over.
Your neighbors will love them because they DO NOT CROW!

Ok, so maybe they usually don't crow at 8 weeks, but they don't need to know that do they? Give them these fine non-crowing roosters, and when they start making a racket (as we KNOW they will) then you can just saunter over and tell them that their roosters are waking you up. So - then you're even.
