Oregon

Hey there Folks! I want to start focusing more on breeding Silkies, so I am looking for a local source for high quality chicks or hatching eggs. I would love them to be from a more well-known breeder, but I do not want to go through the hardships/ cost loss involved with shipping eggs from the East Coast.. Bobbi Porto line, Geri Godina, Catdance Silkies, etc. I do not want partridge or white. I am specifically looking for B/B/S, Paints, Lavender, Porcelain or Buff. I am in Portland, and will drive a bit to pick them up, but not hours or anything....

Also, I would take shipped eggs from here in Oregon, but don't want them flying across the country where many of the good Silkie breeders are located...

Thanks!

Hi Tammy. Mike had asked what kind of Quail I had, so this was my response. Do you have males and females? I wasn't looking for more, but if you have mostly females and one male, I would take them off your hands... if you were coming to Portland, but I don't want to drive to go get more quail! now, if you had some quality Silkies, I would consider a drive to get them! lol

Thanks for getting back to me Cluck.
I have 4 coturnix now (3 hens and a roo), and 25 jumbo eggs incubating. Don't know how my incubating project will work out, due to I only have a light bulb in a cooler with a sheet of glass over it. Day 6 right now.

The kid I got my jumbo eggs from also had a group of Tuxedos that looked great. At some point this summer I'll be looking for some good looking Tuxedo's. Maybe sooner, depending on how my hatch goes.

Catdance is local. Also, turtlepowertrav, kmhunter, and a few others I can't think of right now, are getting started with good quality stock...

For the Oregon Folks. In need of immediate rehoming, free to good homes: White Cochin Large Fowl pair, Silver Leghorn Large Fowl pair, Silver Leghorn Cockerel, 3 Black Sex link hens of unknown age (they randomly showed up one day and stayed) but they are laying.
