Oregon

Yeah my aunt lives up there but I only go up there once in awhile and I don't know if I would like driving with chickens for 4 hours so I totally understand

LOL It's along drive even if you are trasporting chickens or not! Thank though!

I'm up in WA but I am looking Cayuga or Black Runner hatchings eggs (a single day old duckling) and will be driving down to Vancouver soon anyway and wouldn't mind going a bit further into OR for what I want. Or is anyone ordering from Metzer and will let me toss a duckling onto your order? It's a birthday present for my son.

I really believe it depends on what the duck bonds with. I have 3 runners who are a flock and 1 that thinks it's a chicken. It was hatched and raised by a polish hen. Poor thing is afraid of the ducks

I don't have ducks but wouldn't it be lonely? Our feed store won't sell less than 3 chicks, just in case 1 doesn't make it.

If I was getting a duckling, he might be lonely for about a month. But an egg would be set with the Ancona eggs and thus would have about 2 dozen buddies from the get go.
