Oregon

Hi everyone, I have a sultan bantam rooster that is free to a good home. I don't want to give him away if you just want him for meat. He is too territorial and he needs a bigger, more dominant rooster to show him his place, or just be a house pet, because I don't have enough space for a bigger rooster because all of chickens I have are not good at spotting hawks so they're in a pen. Please PM me if you are willing to adopt him for either pet or breeding purposes!

He is not nice to my hens and me, probably because I baby him a ton so a new owner will probably tone him down because all he knows is I let him get away with anything, but not anyone else. So please consider adopting him!

I am still trying to rehome this sweet boy! If you can catch him he is super gentle and doesnt mind being held! He loves to find goodies for his ladies and makes sure everyone is buttoned up in the coop at night! He is going to a temporary home tonight, but I would love to see him with a larger flock of ladies!

If there's a chicken rescue somewhere I'm sure they'd love to try and get someone to adopt him!

Is there a chicken rescue somewhere?? I tried our local farm animal sanctuary, Sanctuary One, but they couldnt take him and didnt have a better idea than craigslist.

Hello all

I'm in Hermiston and have some pretty little seramas that need homes. 2 roosters and a trio (a roo and 2 hens). I'm also looking for silkie laying hens if anyone has any between Pendleton and the Seaside, OR area. Pictures of the seramas are below.
The trio

The 2 roosters dubbed Thing 1 and Thing 2

If anyone is interested or has silkie hens please message me

Pretty Seramas!! I only have a Silkie hen and rooster pair. They are nice quality but I think she only has 4 toes on one foot : (

I have 2 Roosters both are mutts. 1 looks like a Rhode Island Red Austerloupe cross and he is fairly friendly and the other look a cream legbar blue wellsummer cross. He is not aggressive toward me or other adults but he has started to come after my friends 2 year old and a couple times looked like he was going to try for my 6 year old. He is a bit aggressive with the hens and I have had to put a saddle on the most battered one. I would like to keep him but if he continues down his aggressive path he will be gone. Is there anyway to chill him out? I have 10 girls and 2 roosters and overall everyone gets along. They are completely free range on 2+acres.
Any suggestions to mellow him out would be great! thanks

Almost the same thing happening with my sultan, which is odd because Sultans are bred for show and pets, which means they need to be calm and easy to tame for the easiest to show birds. But he hasn't been tearing up the hens, just being mean to them, and he is not really much on the road to being slaughtered, because I see him as my child.

How much are you asking for the hen? Does she like being held?
Sorry, I got distracted. She is good about being held, she was handled from when she was a tiny chick. She is pretty docile in general. I do want to sell her with the roo though. I was asking $40 obo for the two of them, but I would be open to trading.
