Anybody need a good broody hen? I bout a little isbar girl, should be just about 12 months old now, about two months ago. She went broody the day before I was to pick her up, I took her anyway figuring the move might break her.....it did, after about a week. She layed beautiful medium sized green eggs, many with pretty brown flecking, for about 3 weeks and went broody again. She's determined and, frankly, I've not had the time and motivation to break her. Shes a sweet natured girl and produces steadily when she isn't broody (18 eggs in 21 days), but I have no use for a broody these days...I bought her for egg production. Willing to make a deal for somebody who could use her.

Where were you 3 months ago when I needed a broody to raise my chicks??? I've got a full coop, but I'll ask around. I've got friends who are sometimes willing to add more!

I have a broody right now, do you think she will have a problem integrating with the other hens when she hatches? I got this stupid rabbit hutch in the mail, instead of a tower coop, and they told me to keep it and refunded my money. I painted it and think it will make a nice broody coop so maybe it will be a non issue. I have part of the yard growing clover and grass, so she can go in there. Where would you like to meet?
