Does anyone close have some Polish hatching eggs available? A friend of mine has promised her 3 boys some Polish chicks and I offered to incubate some. However, I am wanting to set some eggs Saturday. Willing to pay $2/egg. I will only have room for 6-8.

Here is our coop and run, it is approx 5' by 2' and currently has five 2 month old EE chicks in it. They did not like being out there at 1st, but after three days and nights they are content. They even figured out they are supposed to go inside when the sun starts to go down. That took a few days. I still close the door between the coop and run each night. The whole thing is made out of recycled material or things I already had except for the nails, staples, latches and a few of the 2x4s. All in all I think it cost me less than $40. Eventually they will have a large run around it and I will wall this in and make the whole thing a coop.

What transit times are you experiencing with Express Mail out of the Portland postal hub? And what mortality rates?

We are having significant problems shipping out of Seattle and are considering using Portland if the results would be any better.
