Oregon

how is everyone keeping theres chickens cool ive read a few things but none were from oregon so was wondering if yall could help us out and share ideas
I worry about the nipples as the heat of the sun will warm up the water in the tubes , so i use water troffs and Give out Cooled Berry treats for the birds cats and dog get frozen ice buckets with meat toys and treats its a fun way to cool off in the hot weather . I figure if i eat Icecream to cool myself they should have something too right ,

Watermellon in freezer over night is a fun treat for chickens or you can always just use refridge. for that too and it does help

Hey all!
It is finally cooling down!
I have to sell of some cockerels, and of course it needs to be local pick-up only.
2- 9 week old Jubilee Orps (Heirloom)
2-6 week old Chocolate bantam Orps(Jordan)
1-1 year old proven Standard Blue laced Orp(Greenfire)
PM me if anyone is interested.
Thanks!

I'm sorry, as if you didn't have enough to deal with.
My DH is the same about my dog, anything that happens here it must have been my dog that did it.  I kind of enjoy it when we catch his dog with red ink all over her mouth.

Oh sure...blame the dog! Lol

Quote: MY DR Blaims the Cats I told him there is NO way the cats Opened up the refridgerator and Ate all that Pie since cats are Carnavors ............ He said thats my Story and i am sticking to it .
So when his Dog desided to Dump out the Kitty litter Box because we did not take her for a 3 hr road trip for chickens . I said **** Mark will you stop making Messes in MY house . He said IM Sorry , WTHeck ?

Yes she is looking for females old enough to be in a coop
I have a bunch of BCM pullets that I will not be breeding forward due to mossiness, feathering on middle toe, etc. $10 - $15 each depending on age which ranges from 6 - 16 weeks. Probably could not come up with 5 all the same age, I have been hatching 7 - 10 days apart since Feb . All are out in my main coop now with the big girls and the Leghorn flock watcher.
