Is the city, county, police or animal control involved?
What are the laws where you live? Within city limits? Type of neighborhood?
What is the neighbor complaining about? Is it true?
If the complaint was made to you, how did the neighbor act?

Not to stick my nose in...

... but if she lives within the city limits of Lake Oswego (a very affluent area) I would be willing to bet they do not allow chickens....drats....sigh.... hope the OP replies to your post so we can see what's up for sure.

If she's within city limits, chickens and roosters are OK with restrictions. Noise, setback of coop and building codes. Oh and probably odor and pests fall under some regulation or another. The city website recommends talk to neighbor first, if not helpful use citizen's mediation board.

Friend of mine said she would pass, But once I am back up there I would love to get a couple from you!

When I get up there I think I will go for some hatching eggs!

well I will let you know because we have been on an extended vacation and one of my chickens may have started eating eggs and it could be one of my EE's. And also let me know ahead of time!

I had one that would eat eggs but I can't remember which one, I gonna guess that it was my Golden Cuckoo that was eating them after my banty cochin laid them fresh! lol
