Oregon

I have a broody right now, do you think she will have a problem integrating with the other hens when she hatches? I got this stupid rabbit hutch in the mail, instead of a tower coop, and they told me to keep it and refunded my money. I painted it and think it will make a nice broody coop so maybe it will be a non issue. I have part of the yard growing clover and grass, so she can go in there. Where would you like to meet?

Thank you!!!
Any recommendations on which is the best?
I dont recommend Avian & Exotics. Super friendly staff who are excited about chickens, BUT my chicken is still sick. Took my 4 chicks there, 1 has runny eyes. We got Mareks vacc, and duramycin for my sick chick. A week later no improvement, went back and instead of looking into MG/MS, vet gave me steroid eye drops. I didnt use the eye drops, nor did I go back. Instead ordered Tylan 50 online and shes showing improvement.

Anyone need a broody BO? I have a small backyard flock of 6 pampered hens but my BO “Honey” has been broody three times this year already! Each time I break her of it she eventually lays a couple of eggs and then returns to her broody ways! (We have no rooster and no room for chicks) She was one in february and is very healthy, unfortunately with only a small flock (naively purchased for looks rather than productivity) her lack of egg production has a big impact and with a family of 5 we get through a lot of eggs! I’m sure she would make a wonderful mom if anyone needs and can give a good home to a very broody and beautiful buff orp so she’s free to the right person. I live in Oregon City so please message me if you’re interested, Jen.

I'm in Brightwood. I recently added 2 started Lavender pullets to my flock of 3 hens. One of them, the breeder now thinks is a cockerel... I haven't decided whether to keep him or not. If anyone in my area is actively looking for a Lavender Roo let me know. The 2 Lavenders are from different blood lines, thus my dilemma, I could have a fun Lavender hatching.... I'm just not experienced when it comes to keeping a Roo and even though I'm in the woods, not sure how the neighbors will like it.... Oh and HI Oregonians!!! I love Oregon !!

Hi all, I'm in Portland. I have two hens (a rescue Brahma and a barred rock) and several Cayuga ducks. I'm trying to rehome a few - particularly one female who is a little too vocal for our urban backyard. If you're interested please let me know! They are about 3 months old (which for ducks means full grown, although not laying yet).
