Yes, welcome!!! We have people from all over the state come for the swaps. It is a long way from Grants Pass to Canby, but there will be more!

No, just the kind of people who think they know best have to manage you. I don't mind the ecologically minded, at least they stand for something. It's the typical...nah, nevermind, I might offend someone.

A friend called from Welches. She was stuck in terrible traffic. Apparently the entire city of Portland decided to go skiing today. There were no parking spots at any of the sno-parks! We might take the kids sledding tomorrow but we'll go early!

I just spent some quality time in the coop. Everyone got a tummy pet and a snack of cheese and tater tots. They love me.

Wow - it's 31 degrees here, and everyone heads to the snow covered mountain?!? Weirdos. Ha ha. JK!

Yeah, "ecologically minded" folks don't bother me (love how you phrased that btw!) it's the super fanatic type that cry when a tree falls, and freak out when people hunt for their food! LOL

Mmmm...cheese and tater tots...can I come live in your coop?

Would you want a tummy scratch or under the chin? I'm serving hamburgers and lentils today! Cleaning out the fridge. Glad I have the chickens to feed the leftovers to. My Dogs have delicate systems and I pay for it when they get treats.

LOL! Actually, a back rub would be great! haa haa Yeah, neither of my dogs have ever had people food, but the chickens....it IS nice to have something around here that can eat the leftovers!! I gave them a pot of goulash once, and the next day there were stewed tomatoes all over their run! Eventually they ate them too though.

OMG, I read your post wrong at first...I thought they ate the stewed tomatoes and then you saw them all over the coop!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and joyous 2011. Let this be a year of health, happiness and abundance in our lives. Happy New Year!

Hi, I live near Oregon city and am looking for a black turken rooster hopefully within reasonable driving distance. He can be a hatchery stock but must be a purebred. Thanks

If you're willing to ship, you might check with Nava on here. I know she has blues, so I'm sure she gets blacks from time to time.
