Organic Chicken Feed Ingredients.. GO!!!

Hey guys! I want to make my own organic chicken feed, if anyone can give me some good organic feed ingredients that would be great. I am trying to be self sufficient at 24!! My husband thanks me lol. Thank you in advance

Where to start?

Is it for chicks? Layers? Broilers?

What do you mean by "organic?" You can use organic ingredients, if that's what you mean. Each type of chicken has a different daily nutritional requirement. There are a few recipes online for organic chicken feed recipes, but if by "self-sufficient" you mean "frugal," none of them will help you with that. They're rather pricey.

Oh your right, I didn't specify! It is mostly for egg layers, for my own chickens. Although, I was thinking about different feeds also, because I want to start making some around my town since there is nothing organic around here!! Thank you for asking that!
