Thats crazy, so am I. They can not come up in my yard and tell me how to garden or raise my animals. I will be that guy on the news because I am holding people off of my property ifin they try. I do however raise animals properly.

mjdtexan, I wasn't referring to money but to the tinkering of cultures and lives by the IMF and WTO. Third world people often have to grow crops to sell and then don't grow native food for themselves. We frequently have to forgive third world country debt because obviously the system isn't working in their favor. Maybe some call this progress. I like diverse cultures--how boring if there was just one culture in the world.

mjdtexan, I agree with your comments. I was just clarifying. I think Americans are the most generous people in the world--don't get me started on that, but I also think governments and businesses rule and manipulate. Was it Calvin Coolidge who said, the business of America is business?

I do think we apply pressure, like on Japan to buy our beef. Heck, I don't even want to eat it. Baby formula companies gave free formula and when new mothers couldn't afford it, babies starved. That sort of thing was my comment.

This tinkering, though, with the food supply world-wide is scary. And we haven't even mentioned water, another problem down the road.
