I really enjoy the this chicken breed and would like to know the first original color this bird was breed into for future breeding and additional reference.

I have read that the Brahma Fowl originated in India, were fowls of the original type are to be met with, under the name Grey Chittagong. The divison into two colours is the result of breeding and selection in America and England, as the first birds were distinctly light in plumage.
