Ornamental Layer Coll. Breeds? Clearer Pics 1wk

Allright, this is our first order from a hatchery. We think we have some of the breeds nailed down, but were hoping for confirmation from the experts. Here are picks in no particular order....

Any and all help is appreciated.

I have no idea what kind of chicks you have, but I have an order from Murray McMurray due March 2nd. Did all your chicks make the trip ok? I noticed your box is different than the box my chicks came in last july.
What is the condition your chicks?

This is my unexpert opinion I was looking through the catalog and this is what I am thinking.

The two black ones with white spots on head look like Dominiques

the one in the next photo looks like a White crested black polish.

the next one looks like either a black or partridge cochin cause of the feathering of the feet.

I think I might see a buttercup in the next picture towards the back on the right side?? I'm sure you would know because of the comb. That would be awesome to get.
Looks like the two Dominques are in the picture too and right in front looks like it might be a golden penciled hamburg and either a pheonix or a Silver leghorn.

The fluffy white one in the next picture and the cool light gray one have me stumped but im very curious as to what they might be.

Next it looks like the Crested black polish again. Maybe im wrong?? maybe you have 2 the same??

Next one looks like a white faced black spanish to me but it might be a Lakenvelder.

next one looks like a black cochin again even though this one is much lighter I couldn't find any other one that looked like that.

Couldn't tell on the last one cause of the lighting.

Let me know if I'm right about any of them!

You have a WC black polish, a Black Langshan, a Blue Cochin, a Silver Spangled Hamburg. In the box I see what looks like a Silver Grey Dorking and a Buttercup. Those are my guesses.

I was looking at the OLC from MM, but i wanted cochins,and/ or broody hens.
How many cochins in your batch?or how many possible broody type?

I would say you have a good mix of.....

Dominque
Cochin
Langshang(maybe)
Easter Egger
Hamburgs
Polish

And probably acouple other breeds. It's hard to tell because there are A LOT of chicks that have chipmunk stripes when little and we would need individual pics of each chick to really tell the breed.
Nice assortment you got though!

This chick is a langshan. I had a whole bunch of them last summer (all turned out to be boys

) They were so much fun to watch feather out and grow those super long legs!

You mentioned some of the chicks were "iffy" I noticed that the thermometer in the box reads 85F? Is that the norm or just becasue you had the box open fo a while? I believe they should be kept about 98F - 100F for the first few days?
