Ornamental Layers

Any guess as to what this pullet may be. I ordered from Murray McMurray, their Ornamental Layer assortment. I can’t seem to figure out what it may be though. I did receive assorted polish, Golden Campine, silver dorking, fayoumi, buff & black Cochin, and possible a houdan.

I agree that it looks very similar to a Silver Campine, however Murray McMurray doesn't carry them! I had to check too because they're similar in appearance!

It’s a Egyptian Fayoumi. It’s neck is not as white as a campine. Here is an Egyptian Fayoumi

Egyptian Fayoumi would be the logical guess then.
I had one and she was a handful, almost feral in behavior.

The nice thing about them is they mature fast. One of my catalogues brags that makes might start to crow as early as like 4 weeks

Here is some interesting info.

When a Gold Campine rooster is crossed with a Silver Campine hen, the resulting chicks will be sex-linked. Male chicks will have gray on the tops of their heads while female chicks have a reddish tinge to their down.

Breed Alternatives
1. Egyptian Fayoumis
Fayoumi Chickens are actually close relatives to Campines and the Silver Campines very closely resemble Egyptian Fayoumis. Egg and meat production is about the same in Egyptian Fayoumis as Campines, but Campines have slightly friendlier dispositions.
