Some of you kept mentioning Khaki Campbell ducks and I looked it up. That's what the mother duck was!

well, the way I look at it, no matter what the duck is or the mother was I sure hope this little guy/girl is taken care of either way. Its a pretty sweet little thiing that need love and protection

So more than likely a dumped duck people do this when duckling cuteness goes away and I bet she traveled a bit to make her nest for privacy. So at least the little one is domestic. So now it needs a home.

Like someone did with my Honeybear! Just dumped her off! Sickening but luckily Honeybear found a loving home. So many don't. I'm sure this little duck will be taken care of and loved.

Is it normal for ducklings to want a lot of attention?? I left the room really quick to grab my water bottle but had to rush back because the duckling was crying out. Once I came back, it stopped and just stared at me.

Shes so scared! You're now her mom and she loves you! she's been through a lot!

It sounds like it has imprinted on you, and now thinks of you as it’s mother. Do you know if any feed stores near you have any Ducklings? It would best for it to have a friend. For now you could put a stuffed animal in with it.

If it were me I'd hold her and cuddle her a lot to make her feel safe.

Yes the are Flock animals and need others if their kind a mirror and stuffed animal will help they love looking at themselves
