I'm a colorist. And apparently a budding chicken colorist too.

Folks - please, no discussion of importing or quarantine or where they came from - it just causes way too much drama, and we end up needing to close the thread. Sorry to be a wet blanket.

I just gave it a name for a silvery color. I guess someone will come up a descriptor for the phenotype; other than light blue.

Do you (Euro community) use the term platinum to refer to a phenotype? If so, what is the genotype?

I picked it up on this board (topic on sumatra). Platinum = blue+dun like in my avatar.

) The Lavender Orps I've got in the bator are your line, I got my sellers confused. *sigh* I've got 4 kids 6 and under, I haven't gotten enough sleep in a long, long time. I've gone from honor student to brain farts and incoherent mumbling, now.

Good luck with your orp chicks. Sounds like you are having fun with incubating like most of us. They are so addicting, aren't they?

I'm so hooked it isn't even funny. I had more eggs in the bator the day after my first batch finished. Now if I can just keep them all straight.

I'm going to go print off all my receipts and put them in a notebook before I start telling people I've got purple-spotted emus from pinkchick's stock. Or something like that... Hey, at least I haven't misplaced any of the kids.

Yet.
