My orphington chicks are fantastic! They don't climb all over me like the polish but they do come running, stand there for me to pet, and happily eat from my hands. These have been wonderful for the kids (12 and 15) also

i have a line on a couple black english orpington chicks to add to my little flock
not sure what the babys will look like if you mix a black & a buff but i would like to find out.

the lady who was selling the buff chicks in my area will not return my email or phone calls
i paid for 12 chicks & i don't have 12.
don't you just hate people like that?

Hi all, new to the Orpington breed. Got my first Buff Orp rooster last week. Now I'm hooked! The pictures you all have shared are amazing. Such lovely birds!

Here's Maurice:

Old Fossil, He really is nice. Here's mine at about 7 months.

And here he is at 9 months.

well here is "blondy" he (i think it's a roo) is not all that big on pictures
however he said he would allow me to take this one here.
he eats like a small horse & enjoys sleeping under the heat lamp in my homemade brooder
do to the fact that "he" looks different than his brooder mates he will not be heading for the stew pot
however a couple of his brothers will. i don't need 3 roos to cover 5 hens
so rooster adobo will be served some night once they all get some size to them
