Thank you Joy.

The Splash is Julie's girl. She is weeks away from one year old. I have her and the two Tubby daughters in with Feran.
Better pic of Feran and the Bamma girl is right there with him. I REALLY am excited about what can come out of this combo.

I love looking at everyone's stock. I'm getting a new camera this week and will post pics of my projects.

I have B/B/S, Lavender, and in weeks I will be hatching my first Isabels. I'm working on Red and Gold-Laced. The projects have been great fun and I'm delighted to look forward to the Chocolates that will be available soon for new and exciting colors.

One project I hope to really work on in the near future is a Vorwerk Orp, and then a Platinum Vorwerk.

I hope to share some of my intermediate stages with you all soon- gotta get some new pics!

Bill - Julie has some excellent stock, so you should get some really nice birds with that mating. I'm patiently waiting for my girls to start laying so I can hatch. I am definitely putting The O's with Sirius, and The B's with Nigel. Not sure what other matings I am going to do yet. I'm anxious to get started. I am ready for Spring !!!

Chooks - Your projects sound really interesting and excited. Can't wait to see some pictures !!

Ethan - There are quite a few people here who have really excellent stock that I am sure would be happy to set you up with hatching eggs or chicks.

I am very excited of our orp post and the friendships that we will make.... We owe it to the breed to make it stronger, and I think with all of us doing so much improvements, we will make them something to marvel over!!!!!

Joy,

I am amazed how nice some of the Blues coming out of her old line. Nice thing about using her Splash is all offspring will be Blue. I most likely will cut loose three of my other cockerels.
Only keeping these two.

I have them titely packed in their coop's to keep the frost bite to a minimum.
This is the only other Blue cockerel who I can see worth keeping around.

Bill - He's a nice cockerel. Are you planning to mate your splash girls to the splash boy you have a picture of here?

Last spring was our first attempt to raise chickens. We got two golden buffs and then decided to get a few more chicks. We went to the local Tractor Supply and bought a few buff orp's. They were the most wild chickens in the bunch.

Now a year later.... one of the orp's is named Zombie Chicken ... because she goes around acting like a monster growling at every one, pecking the other girls and she has been broody 3 times since the fall. she drives us crazy! What do we do with her?
