Other chicks pecking Polish chick. What to do?

I just noticed that my polish chick’s head feathers are getting pecked by the others. I believe they’ve now outgrown their current brooder, but can’t move them into the larger one until I can get the bigger girls out to the coop this weekend.
I cleaned her head with Vetericyn Plus and applied Hen Healer (blue ointment), but it looks like it’s not deterring them.

At the moment, I have all of the others for playtime in a run outside, and left her in the brooder, but of course I can’t leave them out there. They’re all between 2-3 weeks.

What should I do to stop the pecking?
Any advice is helpful.

Your probably not going to get the other chicks to stop. For some reason normal chickens seem to pick on polish chickens. My chickens pecked off all of one of my polish hens fluff so I had to separate her and I put my other polish hen with her for company. A few days ago I tried to mix her back into the flock but then my rooster chased her trying to attack her. Your situation is different because your polish is a chick, but still.

She is the only polish? I don't have any, but stories are common of this being an issue. The vaulted skull and feather tuft seems to be a big attractant, and since chicks will peck just about anything, I think this is a fairly common problem. This article makes some suggestions, specifically talking about polish, maybe one will be helpful:

Yes, she’s the only polish. Thanks for the article! I think I’ll try taping it and see if that helps. I’m also going to add more interest within the brooder and see if that diverts attention. :fl

May I ask how your Polish chick fared and what you ended up doing? I’m having the same problem right now. Chicks are 3 weeks old …. Mixed breeds with only one Polish.
