I'll dig it out tomorrow and take pics. It just has a canal around the heater/fan. Its the same evaporation, no matter how much water you put in. I tried using less water, it just got dry quicker.

Do you have a separate calibrated thermometer and humidity reader inside the bator or are you only going by what the incubator itself reads?

Have you tried using a damp sponge instead of the canal?

I'm thinking the installed humidity thing is screwed up if it is constantly reading the same thing no matter how much water you put in.
I wouldn't trust it.

yeah that looks like the same one.

Just going by the bator temp, and all the moisture that runs down the inside of lid. Its so bad that its hard to see the egg.

No I haven't, what will that do ? Release water slower ?

It might, worth a try but will take some experimentation before setting any eggs.
But first...get a separate thermometer and hygrometer and test/calibrate them.

Yeah, I will. My husband wants to know why I can't use heat lamp and bowl of water. Told him I'd ask, so I'm asking.
