ouch...my eyeball! (the BIG update, pg. 7)

That cinches it. This is the second time in a week that I've read this exact story. No chicken is EVER going to sit near my face.

Miss Jayne, get thee to a.., strike that, ... DOCTOR.
Hope you're feeling better real soon. That has to hurt like the dickens.

i don't know who else could take me. my neighbors aren't home and we are pretty rural.

i don't even have keys to the car. we have to keep them locked up because the types of seizures i have cause blood sugar drop first and then i don't 'make sense' and do things like drive a car and have no idea i am in it! aghh.

going to get the ibuprofen and then a cold compress and call the DH again.

You have to make them know how serious it is. If the pain or swelling gets worse, DO NOT be afraid to call 911. It is there for people like you who CAN'T drive and have an injury!

took the pain meds and rinsed with opthalmic rinse once more. on phone with the DH to see what we can arrange.

i know all the ambulance drivers, if necessary i can call them at home.

best thing to do is just keep flushing it every 30 minutes or so while you have pain and if it's still hurting the same this evening, then go when your husband can safely transport you.

If you keep it flushed, chances are good it will feel better this afternoon. More than likely that's all the hospital will do anyways, plus give you an antibiotic eye drop to cut chance of infection.

Keep it flushed, keep it closed, and it will be better. If it's not bleeding, there's really nothing more to do right now without running up doctor bills.

Do not try to take yourself to the hospital though, wait until your husband can take you tonight, and by then, I bet it is feeling better.

thanks! i sure will wait!
a. i can't see!
b. legally, if anything happened, because of the seizures, i am registered as a 'non driver' and my auto and health insurance don't have to cover me!
c. uh, could go to jail...not a great option!

i will keep flushing, it burns, but i know it's good for it.

thank you again everyone. at least i am keeping my humor up during this dumb accident!
